Nabil Haddad qualified in medicine in Cairo in 1976. He trained in London, Southampton, Liverpool and Edinburgh. In 1989, Nabil was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist in Chester. He developed the Fertility and Assisted Conception Service and has led this service since. He was instrumental in pioneering transport IVF and had the first ever successful baby from that technique in 1990.
Nabil is committed to the provision of total fertility services and advocates a fitness for fertility approach in order to prepare couples for treatment and improve successful outcomes. Nabil serves on many local and national fertility committees, his research is clinically orientated and he has published on many aspects of fertility care.
Karen Woodcock is a Nurse Consultant who has worked in the field of Reproductive Medicine since 1991. Karen is the Manager of the Fertility and Assisted Conception Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital and also works as a Nurse Consultant for North West Fertility which is one of the largest and most successful private IVF clinics in the UK.
Karen is currently the elected nurse representative on the British Fertility Society Executive Committee, and is the lead for pelvic ultrasound training for the society in the UK. Karen is also a recognised trainer for the British Fertility Society and is actively involved in promoting education and training of nursing and medical persons.
Karen has been involved regionally in the commissioning of the local fertility service provision and has long promoted an ‘active management of fertility problems’ in order to ensure timely access to evidence-based medicine of the highest quality.
Karen is also a director of Specialised Gynaecology Services Ltd, which is an independent sector service for women’s health.
Christina originally from Dublin, graduated with a BA Honours in Nursing from Liverpool John Moores University. From here she pursued a career in Reproductive medicine at the Liverpool Women’s IVF unit. Following her training Christina took on a role as Consultant Nurse Liaison for one of Turkeys biggest IVF and gynaecology centres based in Istanbul. Throughout her 3 years in Istanbul Christina worked regularly in Cyprus helping international patients achieve pregnancy through egg donation.
Having returned to the UK Christina spent another year caring for patients undergoing fertility treatment within the North West. Christina is experienced in all aspects of IVF treatment, treatment abroad, egg donation, egg donation abroad, PGD, family balancing and frozen embryo transfer treatments.
Christina joined Conceive International in September 2012 and currently coordinates patient’s pathways from Chester and Manchester.
Anne works as the Personal Assistant directly for Mr Nabil Haddad.
Anne also works in partnership with Cheshire Womens Health and North West Fertility.
With a Management Degree from a Manchester University, Anne has held several business development and customer facing positions across various sectors of industry.
Joanna has been working as a Fertility Counsellor since 2005; prior to this she has gained extensive knowledge and experience in many work settings. This has included the North East Wales Mental Health Trust, Intensive Support Services, and Family Therapist for Private Fostering Agency and has worked with substance misusers and families with drug and alcohol related issues. Jo has also worked as a Childline Counsellor, relate, Victim Support and Woman’s Aid.
Jo graduated in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Bangor University before gaining further qualifications including Family Therapy,
Open University psychology and a Diploma in Stress Management. Jo is currently studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Faye qualified from Yale College with an Advanced Diploma for Executive Medical Sectaries, including a qualification in Medical Terminology, in 2010. She then went on to gain experience working in a dental practice and GP surgery before working as a Medical Secretary in an NHS Hospital in the Community Paediatrics department. Following on from that, she joined Cheshire Womens Health in late 2012 as a Medical Secretary, providing an efficient, effective and patient-focused service. She is now Practice Manager for Cheshire Womens Health.
